Most of our churches stand on prime real estate, saying nothing to their community for 6 days a week. Outreach Media provides a smart Aluminium/Perspex display cabinet for you to erect on your church property, into which a new colour Poster is inserted each month. Each church has the same poster for the same period of time, which reinforces the message and adds to the impact. This repetition principle, which is very effective in the advertising industry, is equally effective in displaying God's Word. So if you're on a 10km drive and you pass, say 5 churches, then you will see that sign 5 times.
Two to three weeks in advance, we send you the artwork for the next month's poster for use by your church in any way you see fit, eg photocopying for church bulletins, mail outs, etc. We also supply background notes into the actual message itself for use with your congregation. This helps equip the church body in the event of any enquiries by non-Christian friends or neighbours. It is also greatly valued by RE teachers, Sunday Schools and Youth Groups.
Churches in the Sydney metropolitan area have their Poster changed automatically each month, whereas NSW Country and Interstate have them mailed in a tube. Your aluminium/perspex cabinet is included in the monthly fee and is indemnified against damage or maintenance. In other words you pay no more than the monthly subscription fee. All other costs are covered by Outreach Media.
Outreach Media also undertakes to send out to your Church the intended next 6-month programme for comment. This is an excellent way for us to hear your views, and for you to ensure your satisfaction with the theology and presentation of the message. On the rare occasion that we may not be able to agree, we will provide an alternate poster for your church for that month. It is useful at this time to emphasise that the Posters are designed to attract and register with the unchurched and to an age group in the 25-35 year range. They are specifically NOT designed to reach the committed church market.
Costs
The service costs $50.00 plus $5.00 GST per month payable on monthly account plus a sign-on fee of $500 plus $50.00. We ask for a commitment of 12 months and thereafter 3 months notice of termination in writing. Some churches have erected two cabinets at the one site, usually in a V-shape so that the poster can be seen from both directions. A 40% discount is given on the second cabinet making a total of $80.00 plus $8.00 GST. For poster only, if church has suitable cabinet, cost is $44.00 per month plus $4.40 GST.
Please note that Outreach Media do not wish cost to prevent your church from displaying our posters. If your church can genuinely not afford to pay the sign on fee or the monthly subscription please contact us.
An Application Form, together with a Memorandum of Understanding outlining the responsibilities between your church and Outreach Media, is the extent of the contractual paperwork between us. On matters of practicality, we supply a diagrammatic Installation Instructions sheet to assist in the easy erection of the cabinet.
